Based on this NIA Court may add Param Bir Singh as co-accused in Mansukh Hiren Murder & Cover up case and may issue arrest warrant against him.
Mumbai, September 28: Retired Assistant Commissioner of Police Bhimraj Rohidas Ghadge has claimed in an affidavit dated 28.09.2026 submitted to the CBI that Sachin Vaze told him that Mansukh Hiren’s murder and the subsequent cover-up were carried out at then Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh’s instructions. The affidavit records details of Ghadge’s conversation with Vaze in the NIA courtroom on August 25, 2026.
Ghadge stated that he had filed an intervention application in NIA Special M.A. No. 925/2026 seeking an investigation into Param Bir Singh’s role in Mansukh Hiren’s murder and the subsequent cover-up. He was present in NIA court on August 25 for proceedings concerning this application. According to the affidavit, while Ghadge was seated in the courtroom, Vaze approached him on his own and spoke to him.
According to Ghadge, during this conversation, Vaze described a meeting held on April 7, 2021. On that day, NIA Inspector General of Police Anil Shukla had brought Vaze and Param Bir Singh face to face in a room. Ghadge claimed that Vaze told him that, during the meeting, Param Bir Singh had stated that Vaze had acted according to his instructions.
Ghadge further stated in the affidavit that Vaze told him that Mansukh Hiren’s murder and the subsequent cover-up had also been carried out at Param Bir Singh’s instructions. He clarified that he had personally heard these statements from Vaze and was placing them before the CBI so that they could be considered in accordance with the law.
In the affidavit, Ghadge maintained that Vaze’s statements constituted an extrajudicial confession and were admissible evidence against the accused. He also stated that he was willing to give a further statement regarding his conversation with Vaze and answer questions from the investigating agency.
