![Vaccine Companies and Public Health Authorities in Serious Legal Trouble — The Supreme Court of India has unequivocally held that consent obtained through concealment, misrepresentation, deception, or false assurances — including claims lacking adequate scientific substantiation or made without full disclosure of risks, efficacy, and potential adverse effects — is an act of deception and vitiates the consent. It constitutes both a criminal act and a liability to pay damages to every person who underwent the treatment took vaccine and suffered any adverse effect.
