The biggest revelation — Disha had allegedly already died before the time at which police records claimed that she was alive and speaking on the phone; the police report stands exposed and the “suicide theory” is falling apart.
The most important point is that CCTV is not the only evidence.
The identities and statements of the police constables, Police Inspectors and other officers who themselves viewed, examined and prepared official records concerning the CCTV footage are also available on record.
What was the police “suicide story”?
According to the records prepared by the police, Disha Salian, Rohan Rai, Himanshu Shikhare, Indraneel Vaidya, Deep Ajmera and Resha Padwal were together from around 7:30 p.m., drinking alcohol and watching television.
According to the same police version, Disha was speaking on the phone with her friend in London from 12:06 a.m. until 1:21 a.m., for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
It was then claimed that Disha ended the call, locked herself inside a room and, when she did not open the door for some time, those outside called out to her, tried to open or break the door and somehow entered the room.
According to the police story, by then Disha had already fallen from the building.
Further, according to the statement of Mrs. Preeti Rane, a resident of the 11th floor, recorded in the police papers, at around 1:20 a.m. she heard the sound of something falling from above.
She then called Security Officer Shivmurat Gautam alias “Munna” on the intercom and asked him to go downstairs and check. When Munna went down and checked, he found Disha Salian’s body lying below.
Thereafter, according to the sequence recorded by the police, Deep Ajmera, Himanshu Shikhare and Indraneel Vaidya took Disha Salian’s body to the hospital.
This is the timeline on which the entire police “suicide story” was built.
But now the ORIGINAL CCTV and POLICE RECORD have exposed that entire story.
The available original CCTV footage, official police records and statements of police officers contradict the timeline prepared by the police.
The police story was that Disha Salian was alive and speaking on the phone until 1:21 a.m. Thereafter, she allegedly locked herself inside the room, fell from the building, was taken to the hospital and only thereafter was the police informed.
But the ORIGINAL CCTV exposes this narrative.
The CCTV footage reportedly shows Rohan Rai, Himanshu Shikhare, the security guard, witness Preeti Rane and other persons connected with the society moving hurriedly through the lifts and society premises from around 12:30 a.m.
And the biggest revelation — police personnel are also seen with them.
In other words, at the very time when the police records were portraying Disha as alive and speaking on the phone, unusual activity had already begun in the society and police personnel were already present there.
Despite this, a later timeline was prepared showing Disha alive until 1:21 a.m., then falling, then being taken to hospital and only thereafter the police allegedly receiving information about the incident.
More importantly, the affidavit filed by the police before the Court reportedly gives a time of police arrival substantially later than the police presence visible in the CCTV footage.
The CCTV therefore exposes the police narrative through the police’s own record.
If police personnel were already present in the society, the subsequent story showing Disha alive until 1:21 a.m. and building a “suicide” sequence thereafter becomes untenable.
The answer now lies in the ORIGINAL CCTV and the ORIGINAL POLICE RECORD.
CCTV is no longer merely evidence against the police “suicide theory” — it has become the police’s own record contradicting that theory.
CCTV is not even the biggest evidence — the police officers who examined the CCTV are themselves witnesses.
The most important feature of this case is that the relevant CCTV footage was viewed and examined by police officers themselves, and official police records were prepared on that basis.
This is therefore not a case dependent upon some privately produced video clip.
The details of the police officers who examined the CCTV, their statements and the related official police record are now available.
According to the police record, these officers/personnel include:
- Police Inspector Kanawaje
- Assistant Police Inspector (API) Mulani
- Police Head Constable Rode — Buckle No. 01151
- Police Head Constable Maigade — Buckle No. 961369
- Police Constable Jadhav — Buckle No. 092613
- Police Constable Hiremath — Buckle No. 090613
- Police Constable Bhojbal — Buckle No. 110172
- Police Constable Walatkar — Buckle No. 113198
The CCTV speaks for itself, and the very police officers who viewed and examined it are its official witnesses.
Which officer saw the CCTV, when it was seen, what was noticed in it, and what was thereafter recorded in the official police papers — the entire chain exists within the police department’s own record.
It is therefore not easy to later deny the authenticity or contents of the CCTV, because the footage was not merely examined by private individuals; it was examined by the police department’s own officers.
The evidence has not come from outside.
It has emerged from the police’s own record, and its witnesses are the police officers themselves.
ORIGINAL CCTV + OFFICIAL POLICE RECORD + POLICE WITNESSES
The CCTV will speak.
The original police record will speak.
And the police officers who examined the CCTV will themselves testify as to what they saw and what was officially recorded at the relevant time.
How did the records that remained suppressed for so long finally emerge?
These highly significant records have reportedly come to light with the assistance of certain honest police officers, including officers at senior levels.
Role of nearly 20 police officers also under scrutiny?
On the basis of the records now available, the role of nearly 20 police officers may also require serious investigation.
If it is established that any officer knowingly prepared false records, suppressed or destroyed genuine evidence, gave an incorrect sequence of events an official character, concealed the true timeline or manipulated records in order to protect an accused person, the matter would go far beyond departmental negligence.
Such conduct can attract criminal prosecution under the applicable law.
The question is no longer merely how Disha Salian died.
The larger questions now are:
What was the actual time of Disha’s death?
Who concealed the real sequence of events?
Who created the “suicide story”?
Who converted that story into an official police record?
And if the ORIGINAL CCTV was showing something entirely different, why was a different story placed before the country?
Why was a false affidavit allegedly filed before the Court?
Why did then Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh himself have to hold a press conference to defend the “suicide theory”?
What was so important to conceal that the credibility and reputation of the entire police department were put at stake in order to protect an accused?
And the biggest question:
When the ORIGINAL CCTV and the police’s own officers were witnesses to the real sequence of events, who created an official police version contrary to that material, and why?
These questions will no longer be answered by press statements.
They will be answered by:
ORIGINAL CCTV + ORIGINAL POLICE RECORD + POLICE WITNESSES
Param Bir Singh and the other accused — GAME OVER.
Then Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh had publicly claimed that the CCTV footage had been examined, that the statements of Rohan Rai and other witnesses matched the CCTV, and that no major political leader or suspicious person had visited the premises.
But now the ORIGINAL CCTV + OFFICIAL POLICE RECORD + POLICE WITNESSES have exposed the falsity of that narrative.
The CCTV exists.
The ORIGINAL POLICE RECORD exists.
The statements of police officers exist.
And the police officers who viewed and examined the CCTV are themselves crucial witnesses.
This is no longer one person’s word against another.
It is now:
CCTV + ORIGINAL POLICE RECORD + POLICE WITNESSES versus those who fabricated the story and allegedly manufactured false evidence.
Where a police officer abuses official position, government machinery or public resources to fabricate false evidence or records, suppress or destroy genuine evidence, or protect an accused, serious criminal prosecution can follow under the applicable law; and where the proved offence so provides, punishment can extend up to imprisonment for life.
Now the record will speak.
The CCTV will speak.
The witnesses will speak.
And the law will decide the truth.
Whoever is ultimately found guilty in accordance with law will have to face prosecution and punishment.
